The doctoral student Reynald Ponte was awarded the Larry Kaufman Scholarship for Students (LKSS) to attend in the 52nd International Conference on Computer Coupling of Phase Diagrams and Thermochemistry (CALPHAD) in Busan Korea. Only 20 students were selected for this scholarship and our Doctoral Student Reynald Ponte was one of them.
The International CALPHAD Conferencelink opens in new page was first held in 1973. Since then, it has offered scientists and students interested in the thermodynamics of materials a welcoming environment to meet, present their research, and engage in meaningful discussions.
Reynald is a doctoral student in the Chair of Energy Application Engineering, Institute of Forestry and Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Lisandra Meneses and the co-supervision of Prof. Larysa Khomenkova from the V. Lashkaryov Institute of Semiconductor Physics & National University "Kyiv Mohyla academy" in Ukraine and Dr. Durga Parajuli from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Japan.
