Udayakumar Veerabagu, Senior Researcher in Synthetic Chemistry at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, working with Prof. Timo Kikas, has been selected as an Early Career Editorial Board Member for the scientific journal Polymers.
This appointment represents international recognition of Veerabagu’s research contributions to polymer science and sustainable materials, with particular emphasis on catalytic organic transformations, polymeric biomaterials, and bioactive polymer systems. His work focuses on the development of advanced materials from renewable resources, contributing to sustainable chemical technologies and emerging biomedical applications. His current research also explores lignin-based systems, including lignin–peptide conjugates and related functional materials for advanced and bioactive applications.
