ENERGIASALVESTUSE JA TARKADE VÕRKUDE TÖÖRÜHM
Töörühma peamine uurimisvaldkond on targad elektrivõrgud (smartgrids), täpsemalt taastuvenergia omatarbe suurendamise küsimused nano- ja mikrovõrkudes. Nimetatud eesmärgi saavutamiseks on kindlasti vajalik kasutada energia salvestusseadmeid ja ka muid tehnilisi võtteid nagu ilma prognoos, jne. Kui seni oleme peamiselt ainult (kuid on ka üksikuid teadusartikleid, mis tuginevad mõõtmisandmetele) modelleerinud nanovõrkude tööd, siis lähitulevikus on plaanis teostada paralleelselt modelleerimisi ja mõõtmisi töörühma käsutuses olevas nanovõrgu laboratooriumis. Töörühma kasutada on kõigi võimalustega nanogrid laboratoorium, mis sisaldab nanovõrgu juhtimisautomaatikat ja andmehõivesüsteemi (milledel ei ole täit funktsionaalsust), 2,5 kW võimsusega PV paneele, 3,5 kW tuulegeneraatorit, reguleeritavat tootmisvõimsust, võrgu inverterit, juhitavat kohapealset, muudetava võimsusega tarbijat kuni 5 kW, jne.
