Physics working group

The aim of the various physics courses is to provide students in engineering and other fields with the necessary physical and mathematical foundation for understanding processes and relationships.

In mastering the course, the main emphasis is on the applied aspects of physics, such as measurement, processing of measurement results, and interpretation of the obtained results.

When covering different subfields of physics, primary attention is given to their applications in describing natural and technological processes.

The course seeks to ensure that the student understands the physical principles underlying technological processes, is able to distinguish viable solutions from commercial noise, and has an overview of current issues in modern physics.

The main objective of the Environmental Physics course is to develop an understanding of the physical processes occurring in the environment around us, as well as to recognize the global factors affecting the environment and their relationships with human activity.

The course is necessary for forming a general physical worldview and for understanding the processes taking place within it.

In the agrometeorology course, the knowledge acquired about weather-forming processes in the atmosphere, the development of soil heat and moisture regimes,

and the measurement of weather parameters enables the assessment of weather conditions, the planning of necessary activities in fields and protected cultivation areas, and the minimization of weather-related damage.

Students learn to carry out basic weather observations and to obtain weather information by reading weather maps and databases.
